Description

Strukton is sinking eight concrete caissons in Venice's lagoon in a long dyke between several islands to protect the city from high water. A movable barrier will be mounted on the 21,000-tonne caissons. The project is part of the Mose project, in which a total of three openings of the lagoon will be fitted with a high-water barrier. Implementation will start in 2014
