Maasvlakte 2, 1st meeting
Description
After the Oosterschelde works, the Maasvlakte 2 project, the construction of 2,000 ha of new port area, is another unique hydraulic engineering project for the Netherlands.
The Maasvlakte 2 organisation of the Port of Rotterdam Authority NV, the contractors' combination PUMA and KIVI NIRIA have agreed to jointly organise a lecture cycle in the coming period.
During this lecture cycle, the various aspects that have been and will be investigated during the project will be discussed and explained.
The topics that will be explained relate to:
- the preparation phase
- the tender phase
- the design phase
- the execution phase
- special topics
The initiators believe that this lecture cycle will make a good contribution to knowledge transfer, information exchange and experience gained and to be gained during this project for the entire chain in the construction process of a large hydraulic engineering project.
We trust to provide an informative programme with this lecture cycle for the profession and in particular young budding engineers and, of course, other interested parties
