Description
The Port of Rotterdam Authority N.V. presents a conference on the realisation of a unique new piece of the Netherlands, Maasvlakte 2. The special nature of this land reclamation has posed and continues to pose great challenges to its creators in numerous respects. This applies to construction, but also to environmental compensation, consideration of the surroundings, laws and regulations and much more. Challenges that in many cases require their own approach.
During the conference 'Maasvlakte 2: the facts', the makers will talk extensively about their experiences, dilemmas and knowledge gained will be shared with you and there will be room for discussion. Representatives of interest groups, the contractor and the future users of Maasvlakte 2 will also speak and give their views.
Anyone involved in major projects from a commissioning, contracting or advisory role should not miss this conference. It is the first time that all aspects of the Maasvlakte 2 project are discussed in one conference.
The programme of the conference 'Maasvlakte 2: the facts' consists of a plenary part and a number of parallel sessions. There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion led by chairman of the day Jeroen Smit, author of 'The Ahold drama' and 'The Prey'.
