On Thursday 12 October then, it is again time for the Waterbouwdag at the Beatrix Building in Utrecht.

The Hydraulic Construction Day will once again offer a strong substantive and surprising programme with various themes such as: 'the Replacement and Renovation Programme in structural hydraulic engineering', 'Offshore renewables', 'Flood protection', 'Across the borders of the hydraulic engineer' and a special session for Young Professionals with Jaime Ascencio of Reefy. Reefy is a start-up and combines ecology and engineering to restore marine ecosystems and protect the coastline.

Stefan Aarninkhof (TU Delft) and Annemieke Nijhof (Deltares) are this year's day chairs. In the plenary programme, Maike Akkers of the Port Authority will speak about the transition in the port, among other things. Naturally, interesting projects such as: Lauwersmeerdijk-Vierhuizergat by Bert de Wolff of the Noorderzijlvest Water Board and the Blankenburg connection by Eelco van Putten (DEME Infra).

Expo
In addition, interesting practical examples can be found at the Expo, which is well-stocked again this year with more than 30 leading companies from the industry.
