Business administration at sea
Description
The KIVI Department of Business Administration is organising the above activity for its members on Friday 13 June 2014.
'Business Administration at Sea' will take place in Hellevoetsluis where the old naval port of the "Admiralty of the Maze", the Rotterdam Admiralty, is located. An entire fleet could moor there within the fortifications and it was the home port of Michiel de Ruyter, Maarten Tromp and Piet Heyn.
Nowadays, close to this location, right on the Haringvliet and the lock to the sea, there is a new marina; "Marina Cape Helius", where our activity takes place.
At this location:
- Jack Spaan, Manager Projects at Jumbo, gives a company presentation. For more information about Jumbo, visit www.jumbomaritime.nl.
- Next, we will sail at MARON sailing, www.maronsailing.nl, a company with "passion for people and sailing" in cooperation with Sailing School Hellevoetsluis. The aim of this is to see if we ourselves can work as teams in, somewhat different than usual, circumstances.
This to complement, broaden and improve what we have learned as business experts.
- Finally, there will be a barbecue (optional) to exchange experiences before we travel home

- A caveat is that sailing will not take place if the wind force is higher than 6 BF. After all, safety comes first. Should this occur, we will inform those who signed up. We will then look for a new date or the payments will be refunded.
