Circular Eonomics: the role of KIVI
Description
KIVI annual theme Circular Economy:
What can KIVI do for technical business experts?
For 2017 and 2018, KIVI has focused on the highly topical technical society theme 'Circular Economy' (CE). As technical business experts, we bear an important responsibility in realising the transition from a linear to circular economy. For instance, in realising complex chain integration and/or reverse logistics for recycling and/or upcycling. All this naturally goes hand in hand with designing business and revenue models that make shareholders and/or investors happy.
A great reason for the KIVI Business Administration (BK) department to get together with its members on 19 June to share experiences and to consider together what KIVI can do to help technical businessmen to make CE a success.
KIVI itself is thinking in the direction of a hallmark as an appreciation of an organisation's CE activities. A hallmark of value to investors, end users (B-to-B or consumers) and/or service providers. KIVI would like to start a discussion with BK members on whether such a hallmark could make a valuable contribution to stimulating CE and, if so, what form such a hallmark should take.
We want to answer this question on the basis of three business cases of bottlenecks of a technical, business or financial nature that you have encountered in CE projects. With those present, we want to explore whether, and if so how, a KIVI CE mark could have helped to prevent and/or solve these bottlenecks. Ultimately, we want to agree with you on the form in which a KIVI CE mark, and its award, should be cast.
Would you like to submit a case? You can do so until 29 May with Clarette Bonebakker, chairman BK, at clarette.bonebakker@ziggo.nl or 06-18669462.
The cases of the first three entries will be considered on 19 June.
We hope to see you in large numbers on 19 June!
