Innovation opportunities and pitfalls
Description
The process of innovation is different for every company, and yet innovations often follow set patterns. Where are the opportunities for innovations, how can technology push innovations be turned into technology pull? A lot of research has been done on innovation and the efficiency of innovation processes. Still, it seems, everyone has to relearn this process by trial and error. Avoiding pitfalls can be the difference between giving up and successfully making a profit.
This workshop will use three real-life case studies to discuss the innovation process and how to go through it as efficiently as possible without too many pitfalls.
The workshop is part of a workshop cycle to be held between 2 and 15 April.
The Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI), Department of Business Administration, in cooperation with the Dutch Association of Commissioners and Directors (NCD), YES!Delft, is organising the workshop cycle " MORE WAARDE IN YOUR COMPANY" for entrepreneurs.
In this workshop series, the course leaders will deal with practical cases of some of the participants and exchange knowledge and experiences among themselves. Theory and practice go hand in hand in this workshop series. The methods and techniques are taught in such a way that they can be applied directly in practice. This set-up ensures that participants look at their own company in a different way and get new ideas to get more out of their business.
In the workshop cycle "MORE VALUE IN YOUR COMPANY" of KIVI, Department of Business Administration, you will learn about value, get acquainted with useful tools, and immediately apply them in your own company. You will bring in your own case study and have an immediate opportunity for feedback.
Each workshop has its own theme, but is structured in the same way: Introduction to the topic

o analysis method; Three business cases brought in by the participants; pitch; case analysis with step-by-step plan; dashboard: situation now and desired situation later; analysis, concrete solutions and steps
