New Year meeting
Description
An economy where waste no longer exists and where every raw material is reused again and again. The Dutch government and industry would like to be leaders in such a circular economy. Therefore, on Tuesday 17 January 2017, KIVI Bedrijfskunde is happy to pay attention to this theme.
We will therefore visit Urban Farmers De Schilde - Vertical Urban Farming in The Hague, an (inter)national centre for inner-city food production and food awareness, on Tuesday 17 January.
A brief introduction by Ed de Jager of the Municipality of The Hague , followed by an interactive session by Taco Snippen. Taco will give us a taste of the Circulab game (see link below), a game that helps organisations make a start with the transition from linear to circular economic thinking.
After this session, we will be given a tour of Urban Farmers Benelux. Fish is farmed on the sixth floor of this former office building and another floor higher, on the roof, a large greenhouse has been built where crisp lettuce and juicy tomatoes are grown. We can also enjoy a beautiful view of the city of The Hague there. After the tour, we will raise our glasses to a successful and prosperous new KIVI-BK year.
The maximum number of participants for the tour is 30 people, so register quickly!
