Nijmegen traffic centre
Description
The river Waal is home to 165,000 freighters carrying 160 million tonnes of cargo a year, making it the busiest river in Europe. At the Nijmegen traffic centre, three to four traffic controllers keep an eye on the ships via, among others, seven unmanned radar stations and remote-controlled cameras.
On 22 October, you will have the opportunity to visit the shop floor of this traffic centre yourself. Are you coming along? Then register quickly. The number of participants is limited.
