Wine: a story of taste or technique?
Description
Wine: a story of taste or technology?
Mechanical and business engineer Jules Nijst switched to farming after a career at Philips and Vodafone. After a substantial investment, he started his own business: he became a wine farmer at Domein de Wijngaardsberg, in the heart of South Limburg's Mergelland region.
On a spot where wine was already being cultivated in the early Middle Ages, there is now a modern business, where beautiful classic grapes such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris are used to make quality Limburg wine.
During the visit, Jules will tell about his transition from a permanent job to self-employment, his education and experience, the cultivation and vinification processes and, of course, the tasting!
Afterwards, there will, of course, be the opportunity to purchase the wines tasted.
