Last week, Sander Fiévez CEng and Navin Sewberath Misser CEng attended the meeting of the International Engineering Alliance on behalf of KIVI. Their presence underlines KIVI’s ambition to further strengthen the position of Dutch engineers within the international engineering landscape.

Participation in this meeting marks an important step in the process of obtaining Authorised Member status under the International Professional Engineers Agreement. This international agreement promotes the mutual recognition of professionally qualified engineers and supports the international mobility of engineering professionals.

With this development, KIVI is taking the next step in its pursuit of global recognition of Dutch engineering qualifications. Membership of the IPEA is in line with the objectives of KIVI’s Chartered Engineering programme, which focuses on quality, professional development and international comparability.

By actively participating in international partnerships, KIVI continues to contribute to the further professionalisation of the field. At the same time, this involvement ensures that the standards and assessment criteria for Chartered Engineers remain aligned with international best practices and the highest professional standards.

Sander Fiévez and Navin Sewberath Misser look back on valuable discussions with representatives of engineering organisations from around the world. The insights gained and contacts made will contribute to the further development of the Chartered Engineering programme and the international standing of Dutch engineers.

KIVI is proud to represent the Netherlands on this global stage and looks forward with confidence to the next steps towards IPEA membership.
