Once a year, according to KIVI NIRIA's statutes, each department must hold an annual meeting to coordinate policies and finances with its members. Generally, this annual meeting is held in the first half of a calendar year so that the council member of the department can bring recent results to the KIVI NIRIA membership council meeting.
To give the annual meeting more cachet, this year - following the huge success of last year - we have a special guest! Following the annual meeting, we have found Bart van Emden, B-to-B marketing specialist for "headstrong" professionals and management, willing to address those present in an energetic and motivating way. He is going to teach us how we as professionals can sell better!

Bart van Emden started Van Emden Marketing Consultancy BV 3 years ago. A successful marketing agency that focuses exclusively on (technical) professionals. Before that, he worked for 10 years as Marketing Manager at Royal Haskoning. Van Emden studied Mass Communication and Marketing at Radboud University in Nijmegen. He developed a method that allows companies to use their own customers to make sales in a structured way (chatting customers as a b-to-b marketing strategy). Van Emden has published several articles on this subject and is a much sought-after speaker on the subject. Bart also held a successful event on this subject at the Commercial Engineering department last year!
