Description

Technology is coming ever closer to humans. With new technologies such as Robotics, Smart Sensoring, Machine2Machine communication and Wearables, we are creating innovative applications that are rapidly changing our world. By humanising ICT, we let technology enrich our lives and even merge with us.

We zoom in on Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality in which these developments are booming. The visual experience offered by this technology can sometimes be so overwhelming that we think we are in a new world. However, when we want to touch elements of that world, we feel nothing and the illusion is broken. The addition of haptic stimuli will give our virtual perception an unprecedentedly realistic experience.

We will take a look at the developments in this field and the potential application and impact, with the opportunity to experience VR for yourself, of course.

Presentation starts at 18:00.
Sandwiches at the start and drinks afterwards.
