COOL SCHOOL impact session 2026
COOL SCHOOL: the session to make an impact on the (indoor) climate
How do you get the indoor climate of a school building right at low cost, using less energy and without damaging the environment? That's what the COOL SCHOOL impact session, presented by Harm Edens, is all about.
During this session, among others, Ton Glashorst of consultancy firm DWA will show the real costs and CO₂ impact of climate systems and other measures in school buildings. With practical cases and independent data, you will gain insight into how smart ventilation and cooling from the ICECUBE contribute to Paris Proof education and less grid congestion, without climate damage and with better comfort for pupils and teachers. There will be plenty of room for questions and you can even have the impact of the ICECUBE on your own school building calculated in advance!

Locations
Amsterdam: 27 March 14:30 - 17:00
On 27 March, COOL SCHOOL will take place in Amsterdam at action network GasTerug. GasTerug helps energy-saving ideas really get off the ground. They are an action network that supports initiatives and takes them further: from initial idea to concrete project that can be tested, rolled out and scaled up. This is how, step by step, we build a society that is smarter and more energy efficient. Together with Dutch Climate Systems, they ran a pilot at De Pinksterbloem primary school. Whereas teacher Mischa used to reach for the plant sprayer to keep her pupils awake, the ICECUBE now ensures a pleasant learning climate. Even when it's boiling hot outside. And that: without high energy consumption, without climate-harming gases and at low cost.
The Hague 27 March 10:00 - 12:30
On 27 March, COOL SCHOOL will take place in The Hague at the Royal Institute of Engineers. KIVI is committed to supporting engineers in their professional practice and recognising the value of their work. They help engineers make connections with research, education, society and each other.
Zwolle: 31 March 14:30 - 17:00
On 31 March, COOL SCHOOL will take place in Zwolle at Biltin. Biltin is a physical, innovative place where companies and education together experiment, research and work on innovations that contribute to a CO2 neutral built environment by 2050.
Uden-Veghel 19 May 14:30 - 17:00
