Description

Rabobank Nederland's new administrative centre is rising in the centre of Utrecht. The highest floor of the tower (105m) is expected to be completed around the summer of 2009. In mid-2010, 3,300 employees will work in the new building, which will offer 56,000 m² of office space. A car park of about 4,000 m² will also be built between the existing office buildings and right next to the high-rise. The newly built tower will have a fully (double) glazed façade; use will be made of heat and cold storage in the ground; each lift shaft will have two independently functioning lift cages going up and down and the employees will no longer have a fixed workplace but can use a suitable workplace depending on the type of work. The premise is that if an employee is given the opportunity to carry out his or her work at any desired workplace, they will become happier and more satisfied, resulting in a higher quality of work delivered.

In December 2008, a lecture took place where the architect and structural engineer gave an explanation. On 19 June 2009, further explanations will first be given in the management office on the building site, followed by a visit to the building site.
