Description

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the invention of the laser. In 50 years, many applications have emerged, including very common ones: the CD/DVD. There are also applications in Dutch Defence: such as the laser range finders and laser designators.

The theme evening will reflect on both the 50 years of history, the various forms of use and future developments. Concentration here is on the Defence application.

As the audience will include the NATO task group "On laser applications", whose chairman Bob Hintz will give the opening lecture, the presentations will be in English. A small "exhibition" has been set up next to the presentation section.

The seminar starts at 19:00.
If you wish, you can enjoy a bread meal in the KIVI NIRIA coffee room beforehand from 18:00 on payment of €16.50. Please register for this when registering
