THIS EVENT IS EXCLUSIVELY FOR FORMER PARTICIPANTS OF THE DEFENCE MASTERCLASS (FORMERLY COURSE: DEFENCE FOR ENGINEERS)

Since 2019, KIVI Defence & Security has organised the Defence Masterclass to introduce engineers to the special aspects of defence technology and working in the sector. To keep the contacts made warm and knowledge about the sector up to date, some participants of the 2024 Masterclass have set up an alumni club. It offers all alumni of past Masterclasses (formerly Defence for Engineers course) the opportunity to get together a few times a year for a lecture, a working visit, a serious game or another event.

On Thursday 2 October, we will kick off with the first meeting for the Masterclass Alumni. This meeting will be in the theme of SPACE. During this meeting, Lkol Petra Wijnja, Head of Space Warfare and Expertise at the Defence Space Security Centre and Alex Haasnoot, product director at S[&]T and former naval liaison space PNT at the Defence Space Security Centre, will give an interactive lecture on the importance and recent developments of the space domain. They will of course also reflect on why the Air Force Command was renamed the Air and Space Force Command on 1 July. There will also be a focus on what the Dutch defence industry already means and could still mean for Defence in space domain.

The evening starts at 18:30 with walk-in from 18:00. A sandwich meal will be available for participants if desired (for own account: 15 euros) and afterwards there will be drinks for everyone to get to know the speakers and each other better.
