Competition Secure Your Future 2014
Description
Do you have a good idea to make cities safer? Enter the Secure Your Future competition! The Hague Security Delta, the Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI) and technology magazine De Ingenieur challenge you to come up with ideas for multimedia applications that contribute to the resilience and better functioning of cities. Examples include Crowd-Management, warning systems and the provision of information to authorities.
Invent or build an app, game, website, video, Prezie or other multimedia application. The application does not have to be fully developed into a working solution, but can also be a concept or idea, which you explain clearly in a presentation, for example. Anyone can participate, from students and hobbyists to experienced entrepreneurs. Entries can be made individually and as a group.
The winner of the Secure Your Future 2014 Multimedia Competition will win 750 euros and the runner-up will be rewarded with 350 euros. Both will also be guided by the Secure Your Future partners in developing the idea into a business case, finding funders, and testing the idea in practice!
An inspiration session will take place at The Hague Beach Stadium in Scheveningen on 12 September 2014. During the session, several parties, including the World Forum, the Municipality of The Hague and Future Events, will explain the security issues they face in practice. The session offers a fantastic opportunity to find out more about urban safety issues in a relaxed setting, connect with these inquiring organisations and discuss with them exactly what they need. The competition will also be further explained.
