Description

We can hardly imagine the technology of 50 years from now. In 1962 - 50 years back - the Berlin Wall had just been built. Tanks and cannons were important weapons. Who could have imagined then that today there are countries building virtual walls on the internet and carrying out attacks with computer viruses?
Based on the premise "a bit of science fiction is allowed, but there must be a clear relationship with a conceivable scenario of technical developments", 17 authors wrote an essay earlier this year on defence technology in the distant future.

The 6 best essays are nominated for the main prize, which will be awarded this afternoon by Defence Minister Hans Hillen.
