Developments in Defence IT
Description
The KIVI Departments of Telecommunications and Defence and Security invite you to the next AFCEA The Hague Chapter meeting.
During this meeting, the Ministry of Defence will provide two briefings: a presentation by the Main Directorate of Operations/CIO Office on IT developments at Defence and a briefing by the Knowledge & Innovation Department of the Joint IV Command on how IT innovation is shaped within Defence.
From the Main Directorate of Operations/CIO Office, insight will be given into the developments in the field of IT at Defence in the recent period, the way Defence will tackle the issues identified and the way Defence intends to involve the market.
The presentation on the Knowledge & Innovation Department (KIXS) of the Joint IV Command will explain how IT innovation has been shaped within Defence and is carried out in close consultation with the defence units.
Cooperation with knowledge institutes such as TNO, NLR and MARIN and industry (the "golden" triangle) will also be discussed. Finally, the presentation will explain a number of innovation projects being carried out under the leadership of KIXS and give a glimpse of Defence's future IT innovation activities.
