Three main topics were discussed during this informal discussion meeting:

1. The member council's enhanced financial oversight of the association
2. The proposal for a new governance structure for the association
3. A dozen propositions and questions for the main board.

This members' council discussion session is open to all members of the association.

Agenda :

  1. Financial situation of the association based on report by the Finance Committee.
    At the Members' Council meeting held on 14 December 2018, enhanced supervision by the Members' Council on budget realisation was established
  2. Renewal of governance structure based on the proposal of the committee set up by the Members' Council.
    During the Members' Council of 14 December 2018, the main board indicated that the proposal would be ready by the end of March
  3. Other issues
    1. LR decides to allow departments to cut 5%
    2. LR decides to charge non-members €25 for a 2-month donor membership at activities.
    3. New website, integration with membership administration, KIVI app, etc.
    4. Lifting inactive and blocked departments (including Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration and Maastricht Region). Any others?
    5. How to deal with more than 20% (almost 4000) members, who are members of no departments.
    6. Action items and decisions LR December 2018
