Five KIVI departments - Hydrocarbon Technologies and Energy Transition (HT), Nuclear Technology (NT), Electrical Engineering (EL), Mining (MB) and Defence and Security (DV) - are organising a theme day on very large investments in collaboration with the Institute for Pension Education (IVP). This is a foundation that deals with investment of pension funds.

Context

Energy transition is a hot topic. The Netherlands is committed to the.Paris Climate Agreement of 2015. This entails switching to an energy system that is less dependent on the sources of oil, coal and gas.

The transition to a new energy system requires close coordination between technology and finance. There must be money to realise what is technically possible,

Introduction to the financial sector

For this reason, KIVI is bringing the energy sector into contact with the financial sector. Companies from the energy sector can meet pension funds and asset managers who want to invest in energy transition projects at home and abroad. This is done through short introductory sessions ("posters") .

For whom

this event is for policymakers such as senior management and board members of companies in the energy sector involved in very large investments.
Order sizes 5-100 million euros and larger than 100 million euros.
It is not a technical or scientific conference.

Topics include:

* overview of Dutch and European energy policy
* impact of Dutch energy policy
* examples of how the financial sector is investing in energy transition
* examples of companies seeking investment
