Defence 2026 masterclass
Only military personnel are trained in defence technology. All other engineers who want to work in the defence sector must independently familiarise themselves with the special aspects and complex network. Think of political control, secrecy and ethical dilemmas. For those who do not know their way around, this is a laborious and often lengthy task.
In six lecture days and eight working visits a complete overview and network
KIVI Defence & Security organises this course to quickly familiarize engineers with the special aspects of defence technology and working in the sector. Topics range from highly advanced technology, the organisation and role of the various organisations and political control to equipment procurement, innovation and logistics. It also covers Defence in relation to industry, Europe and the world. Finally, the course is not limited to objective facts and rules, but also covers topics as important for defence as security and ethics. Differences of opinion within the sector are also addressed. There is room for debate and discussion.
The theory part of the course is divided into six days spread over two months in, among others, the KIVI building in The Hague and the Kromhout barracks in Utrecht. The approximately eight technique days will follow once a month thereafter.
