Modernisation and security within communications in the tactical mobile domain
Technological developments and advances in potential adversaries result in new and enhanced threats worldwide. Future action has major implications for the C4I* in the tactical mobile domain of land-based action.
The armed forces aim to be a technologically advanced, information-driven organisation capable of acting as a trusted partner and protector by 2035. To achieve this, Information-Driven Operations is necessary to be able to react and anticipate quickly to achieve a favourable position vis-à-vis opponents.
FOXTROT is one of the preconditions for Information-led Operations (IGO), with the objective: All mobile platforms always securely connected and interoperable with (inter)national partners to enable Information-led Operations. To achieve the intended effects, up-to-date, timely, reliable and accessible information is a necessity.
Present from Defence will be:
Jeroen van der Vlugt, chief Information Officer
Col Jasper Kremers, programme manager FOXTROT
Col Anne Iedema, deputy programme manager FOXTROT
Gerrit-Jan Timmermans, lead architect
