The Politics and DV Engineering working group analyses current political developments in the defence sector. It provides independent facts and interpretation from the technological knowledge and experience of engineers.

The Politics and DV Engineering working group has some questions and comments on the Defence Budget 2022.from the outgoing cabinet. The questions are about sustainability and the first European Defence Fund (EDF) projects.

In these questions, the working group expresses concerns about the societal pressure on the energy transition, while the defence budget pays almost no attention to the topic. In addition, it is not clear whether and how national co-financing of European Defence Fund (EDF) projects is regulated. There is no mention of this in the budget.
