
On Monday evening 25 November, the VVD Thematic Network International and Liberal International Group Netherlands (LIGN) are organising a meeting on the future of the international trade system and the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in times of 'trade wars'. The keynote speaker is Professor Ernst-Ulrich Petersmann, professor emeritus at the European University Institute in Florence and an expert on trade law and the WTO.

Prof Petersmann will give a lecture entitled 'The disintegration of the world trading system: how should Europe respond to the WTO governance crises?'
Afterwards, we will engage in a discussion with an expert panel, consisting of the following five guest speakers:
