
During the symposium "Earth observation on the map" on 17 November 2015, the first and second prizes of the competition were awarded.
Ingrid van Namen won the third edition of the Secure Your Future Multimedia competition with her entry Slippery Slope. Before the jury, led by Jan Wind, designated her as the winner, both contenders presented their entries to the visitors of the Earth Observation on the Map conference. During this conference, the possibilities regarding Earth observation were explored with various actors active within this field. Besides Ingrid van Namen, Ferdy Niks was also nominated to present his idea.
Both contenders received the prize from Martijn Seijger, director of ESA-BIC Noordwijk. Not only will they receive the prize of 1,000 and 250 euros respectively, the jury members will also help them further develop both ideas into a fully-fledged business case.
The Secure your Future multimedia competition is organised annually by the Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI) and The Hague Security Delta (HSD).
