In cooperation with KIVI DV, our partner association EuroDefense Netherlands sent a letter on PESCO to the Minister of Defence in early July 2018.
In the letter, Eurodefense underlines the urgency and potential of PESCO. PESCO is conceived as a fundamental step forward by countries, who want to go further in European integration than the current treaties. It is therefore gratifying, that 25 countries are willing to participate in one or more concrete projects. Nevertheless, there is still a long way to go. It is far from easy to turn ingrained practices and national interests into common goals and projects. Therefore, EDNL provides some focal points for further discussion.
