We are looking for an engineer from the security sector to join our network of engineers in our specialised department.

Defence and Security is one of the most active departments within KIVI. The department undertakes numerous activities within the sector. We organise lectures, symposia and visits, advise politicians, organise a course for young engineers and contribute in various other ways to strengthening the defence and security technology sector in the Netherlands.

A vacancy will soon arise within the department board. It is a volunteer position requiring one or a few hours per week. The department aims to have representatives from all sections of the sector on its board. We are therefore looking for an experienced and enthusiastic engineer working in the safety sector to join our network.

Safety technology board member

Within the department board, tasks are divided into portfolios. You are the liaison to the police, fire brigade, GHOR and other relevant organisations in the security sector. In addition, depending on your wishes, capabilities and available time, you will be assigned one of the other available portfolios in consultation. Naturally with support from the other board members and the KIVI office. It's all about content.

Your profile
For this position, we are looking for an engineer, either active in government, at a knowledge institute or industry, or recently retired. A well-developed network in the security sector is essential. A connection with Defence, for example as a reservist, is a plus.
