KIVI Defence and Security annually awards the prestigious Prof. Kooy graduation prize for the best WO or HBO thesis in a technology relevant to Defence and Security
Defence and Security is one of the most active departments within KIVI. The department develops numerous activities within the sector. We organise lectures, symposia and visits, advise politicians, organise a course for young engineers, award an annual graduation prize and contribute in various other ways to strengthening the defence and security technology sector in the Netherlands.
The annual Prof. Kooy prize is awarded for the best WO or HBO thesis in a technology relevant to Defence and Security. The winner is selected from nominations by a jury of six to eight professors and lecturers. The award ceremony takes place during the annual Kooy symposium.
The Kooy prize committee has room for an extra jury member.
