Another NPT Café Oost lecture evening will be organised on 12 October, this time with the theme Water. Two companies from the East of the country will give a presentation on how process technology is applied in water treatment: Pentair X-Flow and Nijhuis Water Technology.

After the presentations, there will be a networking reception.

The progamme is as follows:

19:45 Reception with coffee

20:00 Nadine Boelee, Nijhuis Water Technology
As an Achterhoek-based company, Nijhuis Water Technology BV is contributing to an increasingly green economy with all kinds of new applications in the field of cleaning water and recovering raw materials from waste water and residual streams all over the world.
Some technological concepts currently under development include (1) recovering fat from wastewater as fuel; (2) upgrading manure to organic soil improver, a nitrogen/potassium fertiliser and clean dischargeable water through the GENIAAL concept and (3) recovering nitrogen from residual streams as biobased fertiliser through NAR technology.

20:45 Jens Potreck, Pentair X-Flow
X-Flow produces membranes and process plants with membranes for a wide range of processes, such as drinking water, wastewater, beer and beverage industry. Concrete examples are the desalination of seawater to drinking water quality and the more efficient separation of bacteria in sewage treatment plants. X-flow is also conducting research in Enschede to develop and improve membranes.
