"Safe, clean and green; these are the crucial themes"
From 1 May 2019, Manon Bloemer will start as director of the Royal Association of the Dutch Chemical Industry. She succeeds Colette Alma, who is stepping down after 15 years of commitment to the VNCI.

After studying business administration in Rotterdam, Manon Bloemer worked at Unilever for the first 14 years of her career. In 2006, she switched to Vopak, where she has been managing director since 2013. "Safe, clean and green; these are the themes around which it revolves." says Manon. "I'm looking forward to being able to work on that together with the professional VNCI team and all the members. Chemistry is a Top Sector for good reason."
VNCI president Bernard Wientjes: "We have come to know Manon as someone with great social commitment and interest in the sector. With her expertise and experience, she will continue the organisation's solid foundation."
Outgoing director Colette Alma: "Manon's broad knowledge and experience are an excellent match for the challenges and questions facing the chemical industry at the moment. I am confident that she will be of great added value to our organisation and hand over the baton with confidence."
The Royal VNCI has stood up for the interests of the chemical industry in the Netherlands for more than 100 years.
