
Annual meeting with two lectures
Description
The Electrical Engineering Section invites members to the Annual Meeting to be held on Wednesday 27 May 2015. The venue is the Aristo Meeting Centre in Utrecht at Brennerbaan 150. For directions, see the Aristo website (below).
Meeting starts at 16:00; reception from 15:30.
The agenda will include the usual items, such as secretarial and financial report for 2014, board composition and appointment, activities undertaken 2014 and planned activities 2015.
The agenda and related documents will be mailed to members who have registered.
The General Meeting of Members will be framed by two interesting lectures on electricity supply in Europe and user experiences with "Smart grids"
15.30 - 16.00 Walk-in.
16.00 - 16.05 h Welcome.
16.05 - 17:00 "Development of electricity supply in Europe". In particular, the planning of the required 380kV extensions will be discussed as well as the possibilities of extending the grid with 600kV AC or DC connections. Lecture by Professor Ir. Mart van der Meijden, staff member at Tennet.
17.00 - 18.00 Annual Meeting.
18.00 - 19.00 Break with a cup of soup and delicious sandwiches.
19.00 - 20.00 User experiences with "Smart Grids". In this interactive lecture, it will mainly focus on the experiences gained in the pilot projects in Zwolle and Breda. Lecture by Ms Charlotte Kobus, Innovator at Enexis and PhD candidate at the Faculty of Industrial Design in Delft.
Both lectures are interactive. Your input is highly appreciated.
20.00 - 21.00 Closing with "networking drinks".
21.00 o'clock End.
