E Lunch webinar: "To what extent do robust environmental conditions affect the reliability and operation of electrical equipment?"
E lunch webinar "Electrical Engineering"
The KIVI Electrical Engineering Department cordially invites you to an inspiring E Lunch Webinar, in which Theo Gerritzen (Rittal) takes us through the impact of robust and changing environmental conditions on electrical installations.

What is this session about?
By nature, water and electrical equipment are not an ideal combination - a topicality that became clear again with recent spells of hunting snow. Yet moisture is just one of the challenges facing electrical systems.
Theo discusses, among other things:
- 🌧️ Moisture and condensation and their impact on material degradation and failures
- 🧪 Contamination as an underestimated factor in reliable operation
- 🌡️ Temperature fluctuations, especially relevant for power electronics
- 🛡️ The need for an integrated approach to protection, cooling and environmental control
Why this session?
Robust and dynamic conditions demand thoughtful, practice-oriented solutions.
Since his start at Rittal, Theo derives great satisfaction from developing exactly this kind of comprehensive solution.
He shows:
- how technical choices are underpinned by standards and guidelines,
- why a standards-based approach is essential,
- and how theory, practice and regulations come together in sustainable, reliable solutions
Who is this webinar for?
For electrical engineers, panel builders, maintenance specialists, installers and anyone working with or responsible for reliable electrical installations within demanding environments.
