Fontys IPD project presentations
Description
Every year, the students of Fontys University of Applied Sciences carry out very interesting projects. This day is a good opportunity for you to hear and see directly what the Fontys Students are designing. You will be guests of the departments Engineering (Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering) and Applied Science (Applied Physics).
In the Engineering and Applied Science studies at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, students carry out projects for the business world. In these Integrated Product Development (IPD) and ASIA projects (research projects), students from both departments work together in groups of 4 to 6 students on a problem that comes from professional practice
On Wednesday 29 January 2014, the projects of the autumn semester conclude with a final presentation in which the students present their work to fellow students, lecturers, company supervisors and interested parties. Usually, you can also see the working results of the project. You are invited to attend the presentations and talk to students, lecturers and clients afterwards about the content of the projects and also how these company projects are perceived. The programme will start with a guest speaker on a current topic and continue with a number of parallel sessions from which you can choose. A break has been included in the programme so that you can join in between if necessary. The exact content of the programme will be announced about two weeks in advance. On behalf of the lecturers and KIVI, a jury will nominate the best projects for the KIVI annual prize. That prize will be awarded in July, which will include the IPD projects from the spring semester.
