Description

On 10 March 2012, the KIVI NIRIA Region Leiden Section is organising an excursion with guided tour to the Museum Boerhaave in Leiden. Here, the exhibition on "Energy in the Netherlands" will be on display until 18 March. The exhibition is organised as part of the International Year of Chemistry and shows the highs and lows of our national energy history, as well as the present and future.

The Netherlands is best known for its battle against water. The search for energy sources is much less part of the standard image of our history. Wrongly so, Hidden Forces shows. The search for energy determined the fate of our country. If things went well with fuel extraction, then things went well for the Netherlands.
For more information, visit the Energy Future website. This programme is for all people interested in current and future energy supply. A topical and interesting topic, as sufficient, affordable and clean energy will be one of the most important global issues for the coming decades.

The programme aims to inspire and engage. In addition, it wants to create more clarity and emphasise that all existing and future energy solutions and saving opportunities are needed to meet the increasing demand for energy.

The Energy Future programme is an initiative of Shell Netherlands.
