Ethernet is the most successful protocol ever! At home, in the office and in the factory, people use Ethernet. Everyone knows Ethernet! The powerful protocol invented in the 1970s/80s. Until now, Ethernet has not undergone any major modification.

Currently, manufacturing companies are working on a digital transformation. Movements such as Industrie 4.0 and Industrial IoT are only fuelling this transformation further. But this digital transformation places higher demands on Ethernet. A modification of Ethernet is necessary. By the way, may that be after forty years!

Industrial Ethernet enables communication between all layers of the automation pyramids up to the sensor. Proper integration means an advantage over fellow companies within the industry. Innovations do exist. We would like to discuss these with you on Tuesday 26 March 2019 during the collective Industrial Ethernet consultation at De Basiliek in Veenendaal.
