Description

Repeat due to great interest.

Once again, KPN has agreed to host a group of interested parties in its trial of a unique new cooling concept.

On 14 January, a presentation with life demonstrations will take place on the Kyoto Cooling concept as recently chosen by KPN for its DataCenters.
This new cooling method was devised by and jointly developed with UptimeTechnology.
The Kyoto Cooling concept works with a cold wheel that takes colder outside air inside and warm air outside in the DataCentre.
Important here is that inside the server rooms, both air quality and humidity remain constant.

Together with Uptime Technology, KPN is willing to give you an insight into this cooling concept at its location in Amersfoort. A test site has been set up here in which the effectiveness of the method has been proven and where it can all be seen.

* Are you involved or potentially involved in the construction/fitting out of DataCenters?
* Do you also realise that wasting energy should be avoided?
* Are you interested in a completely new method for cooling DataCenters?
* Are you interested in JIT investing in DataCenters so that costs are as optimally in line with turnover as possible?
* Do you find it interesting to hear how in new DataCenters can be operated with 30% lower energy costs compared to DataCenters with a water-cooled installation?

The activity consists of presentations by KPN and Uptime Technology employees and live demonstrations of the new cooling method.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs recently concluded a covenant with the ICT industry on reducing energy consumption.
In it, it was agreed that a 30% reduction in energy consumption will be achieved by 2020.
Much of the substantiation required for this has come about as a result of tests carried out by KPN and Uptime Technology.

On reading this announcement, you will probably think "it will happen, but I want to see it first" .
We are convinced that after participating in the activity, you will be impressed and think "how is that possible, why hasn't this been done before?"

We would like to invite you to register for this meeting.
There is a limited number of places available. If the maximum number of participants is exceeded, a reserve list will be drawn up for a possible repeat of this activity.
