Biomass research day TU/e
Description
KIVI NIRIA's Department of Energy and Heat Technology organises company visits for its members several times a year. Now the board intends to organise annual research days at a research institution as well. On such a research day, for example, a Technical University can showcase its research on a particular theme.
The first research day will be organised at Eindhoven University of Technology on the theme of BIOMASSA. An important element in making energy use more sustainable is increasing the share of biomass. To increase the use of biomass, many problems still need to be overcome and this requires a lot of research.
The programme starts at 10.30 a.m. with a reception and ends around 3 p.m., followed by a tour of the laboratories. Lunch will be provided.
Speaker(s)
The following speakers are scheduled:
1. Prof de Goey: Biomass research at TU/e
2. Dr Verbong: Managing biofuels: from promising to a highly contested issue
3. Dr Pemen: Biogas conditioning by pulsed corona discharges
4. Ir Verhoeven: Tar conversion by Flame Generated Radicals
5. Ir Mourao Vilela: Biomass gasification: tailoring the syngas
