Circular Economy
Description
Prior to the lecture, from 19.15 - 19.45 hours, the annual General Members' Meeting will also take place, to which interested TME members are of course also very welcome (see below for the agenda).
The meeting will be introduced by Ir. Erick Wuestman.
Dealing more intelligently with raw materials, developing new earning models and challenging people to take steps towards the circular economy. These are the driving forces behind this new concept, in which the speaker will take the audience through the why and how surrounding no longer buying a product, but paying for the performance wanted from that product. This change requires enticing manufacturers to invest in the long term and familiarising users with the new possibilities. We will discuss the effects this will have on return flows, changing responsibilities, supply chain integration and financing methods to make this a reality.
Within the Cooperative Circular Economy, which he co-founded, the presenter, together with Re:Able, has realised solutions in the field of interior design based on the principles of the circular economy, with which the first offices have now been equipped. The Circular Economy Cooperative connects a wide range of consultants, designers, project leaders and producers into chains of creative coalitions, working on installations and buildings in addition to interiors. An inside look at the challenges of starting up such a cooperative is given.
Besides technical innovation, the people side of the transition to a circular economy turns out to be at least as important. Hence, social innovation and various initiatives within education are prominently on the agenda in the Circular Economy activities.
We would be delighted to welcome you to this evening. There is no charge for participation. Walk-in is from 7.45 pm
