Digital Excursion N69
On 1 September next, KIVI Geotechnical Division, in collaboration with Boskalis, will host a digital lecture on the N69 project and a virtual tour of the work.
The New N69 is a project involving the construction of a new road link between the current N69 and the A67, on the south side of Eindhoven.
The new connection N69 between the Locht and the existing N69 consists of an area access road (2 x 1 lane with a 3 m central reservation) with a length of about 8.7 km. The road crosses 2 stream valley bridges (Run and Keersop), 2 semi-underpasses (Molenstraat and Broekhovenseweg), a subway (Smetsstraat) and will have 2 connections (N397 and Luikerweg). Through 3 pedestrian overpasses and a large number of ecological connections and culverts, connections across the road will be restored. Design and execution are planned in 2019, 2020 and 2021 and will be carried out with Boskalis as main contractor.
The digital excursion to the N69 gives an insight into the design of the structures and the geotechnical aspects involved. The two semi-deep constructions will be realised by means of an underlayment with a foil. In addition to digital presentations, you will be taken outside on the work site in real-time to view the progress at 1 of the foil pits and ask questions about it. The presentations will be given by Douwe Nakken, integral design leader on the project and Patricia Ammerlaan, senior geotechnical consultant on the project.
