The board of the Geotechnical Department cordially invites you to a lecture evening on Fibreglass Technology at the Field and Laboratory Group of Ingenieursbureau Gemeente Rotterdam.

The meeting will start at 16.00 with viewing and demonstration of the new CPT truck. This trolley is fully robotised with roller probe rod, COSON-ST system AP van den Berg(https://www.apvandenberg.com/nl/sondeerapparaten-onshore-grondonderzoek/sondeer-indruksystemen). Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to have a snack.

Lectures will then take place:

- Introduction and demonstration of fibre optic technology by Mar van der Hoek (van der Hoek Photonics)

- Filed detection in highways using fibre optic technology by Marcel de Krom and Harm van Nieuwenhuyzen (Cisco)

- Various applications with fibre optic sensors by Marco de Kleine (Deltares Utrecht)

Break

- Fibreglass measurements in scale test loads NVAF by Erik Beutick (Cofra) and Erik de Bruin (Brem Funderingsexpertise)

- Distributed strain and temperature measurements in (geo-)engineering applications by Willem van Bommel, Don Zandbergen and Rodriaan Spruit (Municipality of Rotterdam)

The meeting will conclude with drinks.
