
During the Geotechnics Day, KIVI Geotechnics will award the Keverling Buisman Prize to graduating students whose research contributes to the development of the field of Geoengineering.
The entries will be judged by an expert jury with extensive experience in research and practice:
Alex Greeuw (Dura Vermeer): civil engineer with specialisation in geotechnical engineering; former consultant at Witteveen+Bos, now involved in the High-Frequency Rail Programme in Nijmegen; board member of KIVI Geotechnics.
Bartho Admiraal (VSF): project leader and technical specialist, with contributions to infrastructure and dyke reinforcement projects and innovative techniques.
Bas Vos (Boskalis): general manager of Hydronamic and chairman of KIVI Geotechniek, with a background in Technical Earth Sciences and extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, dredging and renewable energy projects.
Ivanka van Berkom (Ingenieursbureau Gemeente Amsterdam): geotechnical specialist within urban projects; appreciates graduation research that links technical quality to creativity.
Maarten Profittlich MSc (Fugro): consultant, project leader and geotechnical manager; expert in foundations and geotechnical risk management; looks at added value, sustainability and applicability.
WoutBroere (TU Delft): associate professor of Underground Construction; combines research and education and values originality and practical relevance.
