Willem Wolff Prize 2023 awarded to Museum Zaanse Tijd

As is known, the Willem WolffPrijs (WWP) 2023 has been won by Museum Zaanse Tijd. The prize will be formally awarded on 26 October. Members of the History of Technology department are cordially invited to attend this presentation.
The Zaanse Tijd museum is within walking distance of the Zaans Museum. We therefore linked our visit to a tour of this museum. This includes an authentic display of tools used to make the original Verkade chocolate.
The following programme was drawn up for the presentation
At the Zaans Museum (Schansend 7, Zaandam)
12:30 - 13:30 Sandwich lunch in the museum
13:30 - 14:45 Tour of the Zaans museum including the "Verkade experience" with industrial heritage from the early days of chocolate processing.

15:00 - 16:00 visit to museum Zaanse Tijd with guided tour
16:00 - 17:30 introduction with special focus on Constantijn Huygens and presentation of WWP award

Practical: Do not forget your museum card.
We assume that our members all have a museum card with them. If this is not the case, you will have to pay the entrance fee yourself.
There is paid parking at the Zaans Museum. The museums can also be reached by public transport. By bus from Amsterdam CS or by train to Koog aan de Zaan station.
