Design Thinking vs Design Doing
Description
Design Thinking vs Design Doing
Design thinking has been hype in the design world for years. Designers think in such a unique way, they should be involved in more things: public administration, politics, science, bring it on! But don't we think a bit too much every now and then? Shouldn't we just do a little more every now and then. Sherlocked and De Bende are two design agencies that seek a balance between this apparent contradiction in their daily practice.
In this performance, Pim and Hugo take you on a quest for the balance between doing and thinking. Between 'experience design' and industrial design. In this lecture, we think and do experiments together, in search of creativity and technique, perfection and pragmatism. Using practical examples, they talk about where the balance was found and where things went well wrong, and address the corporate culture they cultivate to secure 'design doing thinking'.
Participation in the lecture is free of charge. Costs for dinner are € 20 (main course incl. two drinks), payable in cash.
If you join us for dinner, we do ask you to indicate this in connection with Se7en's planning and reservation of the number of tables.
