How design can make the world a little more beautiful
The lecture 'How design can make the world a bit nicer' by Remko Verhaagen is scheduled for 2 March next.

Designer and idealist Remko Verhaagen is founder of ONZE stichting and design studio Blooey. He is also a senior designer at VanBerlo and was one of the creators of social business hotel concept Good Hotel. Remko's motto is Create Beauty Do Good and he sees every project as an opportunity to make the world a little more beautiful. For his work for clients such as Batavus, Douwe Egberts, Grolsch, ECCO, Philadelphia Zorg and De Hartstichting, he received more than 20 design awards including the iF Gold and RedDot best of the best award. Now, with ONZE fabriek - a social guild for circular design - he deploys the value of design to make high-quality products from residual materials in collaboration with social workshops. During this lecture, Remko talks about his adventures from commercial designer to ideological entrepreneur.
