Description

'The sky is the limit? An io-er in aircraft construction'
Driessen designs, manufactures and services galleys (aircraft kitchens), crew rests, galley equipment (including serving trolleys) and cargo equipment for commercial civil aviation. Driessen is market leader in airline catering trolleys and is one of the largest players in galleys and air cargo handling equipment. Driessen supplies almost all airlines in the world and the larger aircraft manufacturers such as Airbus and Boeing. The company has production sites in Thailand, USA, the Czech Republic and England.
The role division between aircraft manufacturer / airline / supplier is changing. Aircraft manufacturers are looking for a bigger role in the composition of an aircraft interior than before. What does this mean for a supplier? And what is the added value of an io-er in the engineering of interior components? How do you set up engineering in an interplay between a Dutch group of engineers and a Czech production facility? And are they just success stories?
