Cycling Without Borders
Description
Cycling as a sustainable alternative in global cities
Cities around the world continue to grow. As a result, current congestion and pollution in cities will become an increasing problem. A shift from motorised transport to the use of bicycles may solve some of these problems. Many countries are therefore looking at cycling infrastructure in the Netherlands.
Richard ter Avest has had the opportunity to contribute to solutions in several countries to make cycling more attractive. During this session, he will give an impression of projects in both two western countries (Germany and Sweden) and two Asian countries (China and India). There will be ample opportunity for questions and discussion during the session. The Department of Engineers Without Borders cordially invites you to participate in the Cycling Without Borders session
