Project management in Eastern Europe
Description
Our guest speaker, Piet Dijkshoorn, has worked with his inspiring team, for five years as Manager Projects and Resources and as Advisor Organisational Developments in Central - & Eastern European Countries.
Within a framework of a program for mutual cooperation between The Netherlands and the new EU Member States about nine specific fields, regarding (road-)infrastructural developments, many useful experiences are gained and valuable social impacts were achieved.
The core of the program included both the exchange of knowledge and experiences, as coaching people, as well as the implementation of new knowledge, working methods and techniques.
It is precisely the element of 'coaching', that has made the program unique, and through
'mutual training on the job, both in Poland and in The Netherlands', the program has achieved an international reputation
In this first part of a two-part lecture, we'll go into detail, about 'organisation', 'content' and 'technique'. Also on 'International Training on the Job' will be focused. Of great importance, in an ever-tightening future in the Dutch labor market for engineers. Creativity, inventiveness and learning effects ('what is in for us') will pass the review too.
In a second presentation of the diptych - expected in autumn 2014 - we will for instance look more closely at '(human) resources management' and 'organisational (development) in road administration, in Poland, Bulgaria and Slovakia'.
