Description

A very interesting course will soon be organised by the WOT on small-scale wind energy. This workshop is planned for the weekend of 26-28 April and will consist of a theory and practical part. In this theory, which starts already on the Friday evening, a basic course on the main points of wind turbine design will be given. By the end of the course, you will have a basic understanding of the energy in flowing air, designing blades correctly, and matching rotor and generator to achieve high efficiency.

However, it does not stop at theory. Following the theory, three half-days are spent constructing your own wind turbine. This wind turbine has a diameter of 1.04 metres and is suitable for charging a small car battery.

The course is 20 euros for members of the WOT, for non-members we ask for a modest contribution of 45 euros. This includes food, drinks, teaching materials and materials to construct the wind turbine from (battery and tower are not included). Overnight stays during the course can be in a tent on the WOT site, a place to sleep at a WOTter's home, or somewhere else at a location of your choice.

You can sign up for this course until Saturday 30 March. This is in connection with materials to be purchased and preparation.

Register all of you quickly for this gafe course, as there are only a limited number of places!
